Rameez is an experienced professional delivering comprehensive solutions across accounting, taxation, regulatory compliance and transaction advisory. He works closely with individuals, startups and small to mid-sized businesses to ensure financial accuracy, statutory compliance and strategic financial decision-making. He has experience in advising Indian and multi-national clients including fund houses on transaction tax related matters and on several direct tax compliance related matters
His work is designed to go beyond routine compliance—helping clients manage risk, optimize tax efficiency and support growth through sound financial insight. By combining technical rigor with business insight, his objective is to function as a trusted advisor, delivering reliable, compliant and value-driven solutions tailored to each client’s needs and executing transactions with confidence.
In his professional career, he has advised and project managed assignments such as buy-side / sell side transactions including advisory in fund raising and deal support, end to end restructurings, international holding company structures, AIF VCF tax advisory, etc. On the structuring advisory and implementation front, he has advised and implemented several re-organisations for clients covering merger, demerger, slump sales, assets acquisitions, succession planning, etc. He has also represented before tax authorities in assessments and litigating on tax related issues / positions adopted.
Prior to joining SJCO, he has worked with BDO, KPMG and Grant Thornton.
